Great Barrier Island Car Rental Insurance Details

Standard Motor Vehicle Insurance (MVI) is included in all Great Barrier Island vehicle rentals.
This insurance is subject to an excess of $1500 to $2000 depending on which agency supplies your vehicle.
MVI limits the hirer’s responsibility for loss or damage to the vehicle to the excess amount.

Only one agency offers the facility to reduce the excess to nil – for an additional $22 per day.
Please let us know if you’d like to include full insurance (nil excess) in your rental.
