Wai Whare is a stunning architectural bach nestled in the dunes of Sandhill’s Road, Medlands Beach. The bach was designed by renowned Great Barrier Island architect Andrew Meiring and was built in 2024. It is located directly opposite the famous twin Pohutukawa’s at the northern end of the beach. The house is Pod design using natural wood and earthy tones to create a stunning space of harmony and relaxation. The main pod features an open plan kitchen, dining, living area with a log burner and a window seat, to while away the hours reading a book in the sun or next to the wood burner if its chilly outside.

The main bedroom wing consists of two king bedrooms with a shower/toilet in the middle of the block.
Complementing the accommodation, there are two additional rooms adjoining the garage that open out onto a covered deck and the main enclosed lawn area. These rooms have a queen bed and single bunk in each of them.

Wai Whare has a covered outdoor deck entertaining area with built in fire and BBQ.
There is an outdoor shower at the rear of the main bedroom unit along with a long drop toilet in addition to the main toilet.

Stunning Medlands Beach is 150 metres across the road and over the dunes.
